Leatherwork

After learning basic leatherworking while at a scout camp in 2021, I have acquired some basic tools, and have been making some items for myself and friends. Popular items amongst some friends of mine are sheaths for knives and axes, so I have a few selected works below.

Axe Sheath #1

This was the first leather project I did when I was learning how to work with leather. It consists of an enclosure for the axe head with a loop for easy carrying on a belt.

Knife Sheath #3 and #4

These sheaths were made for a friend's homemade knifes. The larger one was custom specified with several special design aspects. The smaller one was asked to be a very simple friction fit sheath.

Axe Sheath #4

This sheath was made for a double bit axe. Due to extra thickness of intended axe, a thicker leather was used for extra spacing.
